Do I need to have HR already in place to work with you?
Nope. Most of our clients come to us before they’ve hired HR, or when one person is wearing too many hats. We can help you build the foundation from scratch, provide one-time support, or work alongside whoever’s managing HR today.
What if I just need help with one specific issue?
Great. We offer focused, hourly strategy sessions for exactly that reason, whether it’s reviewing a policy, handling a tricky employee issue, or stress-testing your org chart. We’ll meet you where you are. Book a time to get started.
Do you provide legal advice or write legal documents?
We don’t provide legal advice. We’re HR professionals- not attorneys—and we’ll always let you know when it’s time to bring in legal counsel. We can, however, review documentation for clarity, risk exposure, and HR best practice, and help you coordinate with your legal team if needed.
What happens after I book a session or project?
Once you book, you’ll receive a short intake form so we can gather context. For fractional or project work, we’ll use that kickoff call to align on goals and deliverables. You’ll always know what to expect next, we don’t do vague.
How do your toolkits work with your consulting?
We use many of the same tools internally, our clients love having editable templates and clear guides they can actually use. If you’re working with us on a project, we’ll often include relevant toolkits to support implementation or handoff. See what we have in our toolkits.
Do you collect or sell client data?
No. We never share or reuse data between clients, what you share stays confidential and project-specific. Any survey or workforce data we help you gather is yours to keep and control.
Can you work with us long-term? Or is this just project-based?
Both. Some clients need a single solution (a handbook, org design, coaching). Others keep us on retainer for ongoing support as they grow. We’re happy to be your HR partner either way.
Do you work with clients outside of New York?
Yes. While we’re based in New York, we work with clients across the U.S., especially startups, remote-first teams, and organizations preparing for growth or compliance shifts.

Not at all. While we specialize in helping small and growing businesses build HR structure, we also work with established companies that need expert support for a targeted issue, like employee relations, compliance clean-up, leadership coaching, or retention strategy.
